Project Charles - My Ramblings
First off, I must admit that I’m lame in many many ways. I remember sleeping on the deck on the ferry going up to Alaska to look at the glaciers. When I woke up everyone had move away from me cause of my snoring. Yes, I have really bad sleep apnea. I do not use my breathing machine cause it sucks. Was told how it’ll kill me in 10 years if nothing else does. So I figure that there are just a few more years of you people having to listen to be blabber on about this. Hate it when I go to sleep and I cant breath through my nose. Usually I wake up in a sweat with my pillow wet and walk around in a daze for a few hours before going back to sleep. I have a bad back also and smoke. Being 6’2" or a little shorter now maybe, 270 pounds I’ve always been the one to change the water bottle, not to mention the one to move the water heater tank. When I’m not doing physical work like on my trip to Canada, my back feels good. Weird movements and even walking through the park gets my back hurting and then I rest or take med’s and try to do stuff. Currently getting no help but getting by and trying to help out billions less fortunate. If you want to help me out tell me why my solution wont work (and stating that I wont get any funding is not a good answer) or press your local officials either to come up with a logical reason why it wont work or help to make it a reality. I’ve tried and tried and cant do this forever. As pathetic as I am I’d waste the first $3-5 thousand on getting my on life together, maybe more. I’m getting by, you shouldn’t worry about me yet. If the day comes when I cant afford cigarettes then maybe start to worry. Think of the little girl next door and how you’d defend her with your life in certain circumstances. Then think of the 29,000 children a day that are dying horrible death’s. Bring that feeling with you in your discussions with others in charge of how billions are being spent. Get them to spend that money on realistic methods to solve problems in this world or to give a good reason why my solution wont work and if there is a good reason why my solution wont work use that feeling to shut me down hard for muddling up the situation – or just continue on with living a happy life with the one you love and shut this out of your mind.
Another year of inaction on global warming.
I could see not supporting my solution and doing something real but it’s not happening.
Heard some good news. That our ice pack has replenished itself to 2004 levels in the arctic. Do not know if this is true, there is so much mis-information out there. Gotta check with UCSD and find out about the ocean temperatures in the past year but betting that the average ocean temperature is still going up.
Tried getting help from the churches, all of them. I will go into greater detail later on this.
Ron Wyden office, humph! Well, what can I say. A little over a year ago I was told by a member of the Presidents Environmental Committee to contact my senator and have him represent me in the senate. His office in Eugene ended up forwarding papers on my solution to his DC office (at least that’s what they told me) and told me to contact the DC office. I would call up the DC office and ask what’s up with representing me in the senate - almost always talked to somebody new and never got anywhere. I ended up going to Portland one weekend and stopped by a federal building to complain about how lame this government is and to try to get help for my solution. The guards at first wouldn’t let me in thinking I was a nut, they may have been right. They heard my solution and sent me upstairs to an office that happened to be Ron Wyden’s Portland office. Talked to a lady up there who seemed to love my project. We talked a bit and she ended up mailing me 3 contacts of who to get money from. I told her before that I’ve spent years trying to contact people to help including NGO’s, Non-Profits and such. Anyhow the three didn’t help me. Contacted the office again and still no contact with Ron Wyden, just the staff. After pressing more I was told that the US government will not fund a solution to global warming. I can understand why they wont fund a solution to global warming and then hand over billions to their friends and tell the public it’s going to fight global warming. Anybody have $10 million so I can get a earmark for $10 billion??
(Wonder how his staff sleeps at night, probably very nice on comfy beds and nice sheets.)
Oregon where I live in the state of the state address our governor went on and on and on about how this state is #1 in greenhouse gas reduction. Next year more will be spent on solar, wind and wave energy.
Our local mayor Kitty Piercy rages on and on about how we’re reducing greenhouse gasses.
Local community organizations wont help either. Just attend one and you’ll find people that are making money, lots and lots of money I’m guessing, on global warming. You want to make some money, get into solar, you’ll be rich in no time. Hmmm, maybe I should give up on trying to solve this problem and get in with the rest of the environmentalists and make some cash.
One of the top people in global warming, oh how I have to remember his name and put it in here, stated how "we dont need no techno fixes". He’s one of the top people on global warming in Eugene or at least try’s to come off as one. I’ve explained how reducing greenhouse gas emissions will have little to no affect for 100 years, how we’re in trouble now and yet he’s into a natural fix.
