Project Charles - What is global warming?

Bah! Call it Climate Change cause that is what is happening. Record temperatures high and low along with record droughts and rainfalls. Enough to cause disruptions in agriculture and other life that we will loose billions of people to starvation and half of all species to extinction.

Is anybody doing anything worthwhile to stop it?

Many people are doing worthwhile things to slow or stop Climate Change. More people are doing wrong things and with the methane coming up, .., good luck to us all. I see nothing viable being done that will stop global warming.

The best effects are those that have increased agriculture. Brazil and Egypt are good examples.

The desert encroachment in northwest China, Australia going through drought, some country took purchased half of another country to produce food for them and a new fungus is going to possibly destroy eighty percent of all wheat production worldwide. These are some bad things going on. True the fungus came about because of poor genetic engineering of wheat and the scientists say they will fix it by genetically engineering better wheat. It is however a great example of some unknown variable that helps screw things up more, who would of thought?

Oxygen depletion is another wonderful thing. The ocean heats up and cant hold oxygen as well. We have dead zones popping up where all the life in spots die off. In lakes where this effect has been constant the life that hates oxygen takes over and produces poisonous toxins and turns the water pink. Never mind the toxic gas that would kill all large mammals and 70% of all plant life just as happened in that last large extinction, I do not want to live in a world with a pink ocean.

Back in 1990 to avoid these things scientists said that we have to reduce carbon emissions by 95% then. Now scientists are stating that we have until 2050 to reduce emissions and need not reduce near as much. What study are they going by?? What bad effects is that going to save us from and which effects are acceptable losses?? One billion people to die horribly from starvation and 25% of all species being lost to extinction, is that acceptable??
